🌎 6 Things to Know About the Strategy of Designing Nature's Half

Hello…and welcome to…Issue #006!

Reading Time: <1 min.

TL;DR: I've made significant headway in the book's development, including:

Completed the book's 1st draft

  • Secured printing rights for photos

  • Secured the assistance of developmental and copy editors

  • Began working with a graphic designer to develop graphics

  • Created a website (www.robertcampellone.com)

  • Initiated the development of a topic-related podcast!

“I don’t need an alarm clock. My ideas wake me.”

— Ray Bradbury, Author

Welcome to my corner of the world!

I’m glad you’re here!

The previous five issues of this newsletter focused on why I decided to write a book. Here's a quick reference in case you missed something:

Milestones Since the Last Issue

Now that the policy review is over and done with, ...and you're convinced we have the "green light" to conserve 30%-50% of the Earth from a policy and scientific perspective... Here's a quick update on how the book's coming along.

But first, did you notice the new name of the newsletter? It was Catalyst, but now it aligns with the title of the book Designing Nature's Half: A Practical Guide to Conserve 50% by 2050...which my marketing agent tells me is essential. He calls it "Branding"...so okay...done! BTW: I'm the marketing agent (...and the author...and the publisher...and the financer...).

Okay, here's a quick update on the book's development:

  • Completed the book's 1st draft...it's a rough draft, but a HUGE accomplishment nonetheless!!!

  • Secured printing rights for photos;

  • Secured the assistance of developmental and copy editors;

  • Began working with a graphic designer to develop graphics;

  • Created a website (www.robertcampellone.com)

  • ...and a drum roll, please.... initiated the development of a topic-related podcast! More on that in upcoming issues of Designing Nature's Half: The Newsletter.
